Feb 142014 was my release Facebook party for CRAZY SEXY LOVE, Rescued Hearts book 3. If you missed it, my apologies. I was going low key on this. I just sent out my newsletter and 3 gift card giveaways on my author Facebook page. You can read more about CRAZY SEXY LOVE and an excerpt here. I already have a lovely review. Here’s part of it:

“In Crazy, Sexy Love, Edie gives us a heartfelt romance that was love from the moment 4 year old Sam heard Callie’s musical laughter. I love how Edie starts Crazy, Sexy Love with Sam and Callie’s persepectives as children, and she moves on from there. It was a lot of fun reading about what love means to a couple of 4 year olds! Edie takes us to different times of their lives so we get a good background on both Sam and Callie – making Crazy, Sexy Love flow off the pages, easy to follow and understand what’s happening.” ~Sue Peace

You can read more at the Peaces of Me blog.

Hearts_in_Motion_200x300I also lowered the price of the first Rescued Hearts book, HEARTS IN MOTION, to 99 cents. It’s part of my plan to make more people smile and feel good. And appreciate their dogs and cat more – though I know people who are pretty appreciative already. You can find all the links, etc., here.

I hope you’re having a wonderful Valentine’s Day. My husband and I are going to watch Captain Phillips. Other than that, I’ve started my new book, and it has an awesome title. Literally, as “awesome” is in the title.

Despite the crazy weather, I’m feeling very good. How are you feeling?

MIRACLE PIE, the 4th Miracle Interrupted story and 3rd full-sized book, might be out in e-book form before Christmas. Definitely before the end of the year. I’m so pleased. STARDUST MIRACLE is available in print, and I plan on putting MIRACLE LANE and MIRACLE PIE in print, too. The print books should both be available in January.

The amazing Laura Morrigan already sent me a mock-up of the MIRACLE PIE cover. She’s going to polish it a bit, but I love it already.

This past year, I’ve written 4 Miracle Interrupted books. During this time, I haven’t done hardly any promo. I plan to write another 4 books next year, and still won’t have time for promo. So to help get the word out, I’ve decided to offer the digital version of STARDUST MIRACLE free. At Amazon and Barnes & Noble, it’s 99 cents now. (Neither place allows free books, though Amazon might price match.) I made all the price changes yesterday. Feel free to share with your friends!

I got a lovely review of STARDUST MIRACLE at So Many Reads. Amy R writes a lot of the reviews at Magical Musings, and this encouraged her to start her own site. She’s already reviewed books by some of my friends, and she has great insights.

Otherwise I have all my shopping done, and I’ve even wrapped my presents. We’re having a rain-snow mix in southeastern Wisconsin right now. We have blizzard warnings and are supposed to get over 7 inches of the white stuff. But we’re nice and cozy inside our house. We should have a white Christmas. How are you faring?

This is the 3rd excerpt from the book my ghost therapist heroine was writing in Dead People (Haunted Hearts book 1), which I deleted before publishing and put on my Extras page.

The worst ghosts are children. They’re like puppies, so happy to see me, to have someone to talk to. They cling to me.

A part of me wants to cling back.

The latest was in Northern California, a three-year-old with curls and an angel’s smile. Her ghostly body was bruised, an arm bent, eyes blackened. I researched and found out her mother’s boyfriend beat her to death.

An old story. If you wince when you hear their stories on the nightly news, imagine seeing the injured children with your own eyes. Seeing their confusion, sadness and grief.

When I finally convince them it’s okay to leave, I’m smiling and crying at the same time. They take a piece of my heart with them.

I deleted verses from my songwriter hero and posted them on my Extras page, too.

I heard she talks to ghosts

I heard she sends them off to Heaven

I’ve got a few inside my head

I wish to hell she’d shoot mine dead.
