On the other hand, as a writer, I can take off a day whenever I want. It’s all good. 🙂

It’s release day for Truth About Love & Murder and Rules of Love & Murder. I’m so very excited about both of this new series! Here’s the info about them:

The truth is that life is uncertain.

Meg Quinn hasn’t been to war, but her father has, and it changed their lives for the worse — and for the better. Now she has a sharp tongue and a mind to match … and she doesn’t trust easily. The best person she knows is losing a fight with death, and Meg is guardian of her friend’s seven-year-old son.

Easy MacLean, the co-guardian, is Meg’s dying friend’s brother. The former Marine has been hibernating in his Colorado mountain home, and Meg lets him know that he needs to be by his sister’s side in Milwaukee now.

Easy is attracted to his sister’s clever friend, but life gets complicated when he gets involved in a search for a missing veteran. After living alone with his rescue dog for so long, Easy and his dog are now sharing a home with a beautiful woman, a boy, and a cat. Even as he watches his sister die a little each day, he’s finding out the truth about life and love … and murder. (You can read an excerpt here.)

Some days life is wonderful. Other days it’s murder.

Former Marine August Reyes is home for good, haunted by images of bloodshed. He meets up again with Elle Styles, the girl he’s never been able to forget.

When August was eight and Elle was six, she changed his and his mother’s lives before she and her widowed mother left the Wisconsin vacation town. Twenty-two years later, she’s returned to Trouble Bay with her four-year-old daughter, but they’re only staying for six weeks. Elle and August are different people now. He sees life through darkness, and she sees it through light. And light and dark don’t mix well.

Someone else was changed by Elle when she was young. A woman who lives by her own rules. Rule Nr. Two—Don’t let anyone cheat you—is in play now. And this might lead to Rule Nr. Three: Don’t kill anyone … unless killing is necessary.

The town of Trouble Bay is about to live up to its name. Life there can be murder… Even when you’re falling in love. (You can read an excerpt here.)

When Midnight Comes — Lori Handeland
Visit the streets of 19th century New York in a novella based on the legend of the Jack O Lantern. Newly dead Jack Keegan may be doomed to wander the earth forever with only a lantern to light his way unless he atones for the sins of a lifetime. His love for Lucia Casale may be the only thing that can save him.

Midday Masquerade — Leigh Morgan
Can a mask help two lost and lonely people release their inner desires and find love strong enough to vanquish an ancient family curse?

Medium Rare — Nancy Haddock
The ghosts of St. Augustine are spooked, and spirit seer Colleen Cotton must team with a by-the-book paranormal investigator to save them all, or risk losing her own great grandfather’s spirit forever.

Feel the Magic — Liz Kreger
Jenna Carmichael is harnessing the magic of the full moon on All Hallow’s Night in a tricky transformation to earn her Master level, when the past comes back to haunt her.

Masked Attraction — Mary Hughes
Daniel Light loved Zoe Blackwood when he was a gangly dork. Now a powerful wizard prince, a masked ball gives Daniel a new chance to woo her. Coming between them is an ancient parchment with a deadly prophecy.

Midnight Masque — Elle J Rossi
Bar owner and paranormal ass-kicker, Josie Hawk, stresses over her vampire lover meeting her vampire-hunting father, while at her stars-of-country-music masquerade, supernatural forces escalate to code red. If she doesn’t unmask the insidious evil, the party could turn into a mass funeral.

Congratulations to Lisa Z for winning a $10 Amazon gift card and her choice of one of my ebooks. The winner was chosen by Random.org.

It was a lot of fun, and there were a lot of entries! I learned about a lot of great shows, too. The most popular were Frozen, Captain America, Maleficent, The Fault in our Stars, Legos, Heaven is For Real and The Avengers. There were others, but those were the most mentioned. I have some catching up to do, but it might have to wait until summer is over.

Thanks to everyone who entered! I’ll definitely do this again!

bloghop button smallMagic intermingled with life – I like to think every day is like that. I loved the movie PRACTICAL MAGIC with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, which was based on the novel by Alice Hoffman. But my love of magic started long before that, with my mother reading fairy tales to me that combined life and wonder and possibilities.

In my Miracle Interrupted series, all of the main characters have a bit of magic in them, from seeing sparkles to pie magic. Even though my new Rescued Hearts series has contemporary romance, dogs and cats have a point of view, and they can understand what humans are saying. It’s because I love animals, but also because I don’t want to get too far away from the magic.

I’m delighted to be part of the Magical Realism Blog Hop that runs July 22 – 24th. I’m giving away STARDUST MIRACLE (if you already have it, I’ll be happy to give the winner a different Miracle Interrupted ebook).
