I’m happy, happy, happy! Cattitude is done and will be up soon, thanks to my brilliant and generous friend (I don’t know if she wants me to post her name, so I won’t). I need to learn how to do the Kindle and Smashwords formatting, but right now I’m taking baby steps to keep my brain cells from exploding. With my next book I might give it a go.
I have to set up a marketing plan. In print I’d need to have started promotion months ago. But in print it takes months, even years before your book is out. I just finished mine and it might take days. Besides, I have the luxury to build a readership — who I hope will love the book and tell their friends to buy it.
In print, the first week is crucial. In a month or two, the book might be bumped off the shelves. But I don’t have to worry about that.
Anyway, I’m happy to be done, and now I have to play to catch up. I’m going to critique a friend’s book and I’m looking forward to it. I have some other things to do, including adding links to my website.
I’ll be blogging here more regularly, too. I’ll try to make my next posts more interesting. I see in my last post I said I was crawling out of the cat cave. I feel the same way now. Something had to go, and it was this blog.
What gets lost when you’re so busy?

Congratulations, Edie! It feels great to finish something, doesn’t it?
What doesn’t get lost when I’m busy? Everything! You know I recently met a deadline, so I’ve been playing catch-up the last two days. That includes catching up on blog-hopping. I just haven’t had the time to read blogs lately.
I have a ton of motherhood responsibilities coming my way the next ten days – starting tomorrow. Well, they’ve consumed a lot of the last two days as well. I have a ton of stuff on my To Do list, including getting back to the revisions on my single title. But I wanted a break between editing, very detail stuff, and revisions. Otherwise, I’d hear my editor’s comments for the other book on the WIP.
I really need to get back to the outside painting, too. But first #2 son needs a lot of help organizing his first year away…with some surprises we hadn’t anticipated. A lot of running around at last minute. What else is new?
Cindy, it’s always like that with kids. At least that’s not a problem I have anymore — unless you count our animals. lol They take up time too.
